Groupon Turns Down $6 Billion Google Offer

WHOA Nellie! Talk about an OFFER! Wow!

According to TechCrunch, Groupon just recently turned down a $6 billion (yes, BILLION ! ) acquisition offer from Google. Apparently, Groupon - the 2-year-old local deals company - was doing a lot more in revenue than was previously estimated. A lot more...as in they are tracking $2 billion for 2010!

This type of movement is just plain good for the economy. The fact that a 2-year-old company could have the moxy to turn down a $6 billion offer shows that we have a LOT to look forward to in 2011!
